Priyanka Chopra Jonas was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, on July 18, 1982, is an Indian actress.

Young Priyanka Chopra first started performing during her years at schools in Newton, Massachusetts, in several theatre productions.

She began her professional career in beauty pageants.

She was crowned Miss World 2000 and Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty—Asia & Oceania at the Millennium Dome in London (2000).

She made her big screen debut in Indian Tamil-language action drama movie Thamizhan (2002) in role as Priya.

She landed her Bollywood film debut in Indian spy thriller The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003) in role as Dr. Shaheen Zakaria.
