Diane Kruger was born in Algermissen, Germany, on July 15, 1976, is an German-American actress and former model. Young Diane Kruger first started performing as a ballerina, during her years at the Royal Ballet School in London.
She began her professional career as a fashion model in the "Elite Model Look" competition, she represented Germany at the age of 16.
She made her big screen debut in action drama movie The Piano Player (2002) in role as Erika Nile. Her breakthrough performance came as Helen of Sparta in epic war film Troy (2004).
