Carrie-Anne Moss was born in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, on August 21, 1967, is a Canadian actress.

Young Carrie-Anne Moss first started performing with Vancouver children's musical theatre, at the age of 11.

She made her big screen debut in crime thriller movie Flashfire (1994) in role as Meredith Neal.

She got her television debut in crime drama series Dark Justice (1991-1993) in role as Tara McDonald.

Her breakthrough performance came as Trinity in science fiction action movie The Matrix (1999), for which she won the Empire Award for Best Newcomer.
