Young Bridgit Mendler first started performing in local theater dramatic and musical productions, in San Francisco Bay Area, at the age of eight.

She landed her voice role acting debut as Lucy in Indian animated film The Legend of Buddha (2001).

She made her big screen debut in comedy drama film Alice Upside Down (2007) in role as Pamela Jones.
