Young Robert Redford began his acting career on the New York stage.

He landed his Broadway debut in a play "Tall Story" (1959) in role as Myers, at Belasco Theatre.

He got his first big break as Paul in a play "Barefoot in the Park" (1963), at Biltmore Theatre.
