Chris Hemsworth was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, on August 11, 1983, is an Australian actor. Young Chris Hemsworth first started his professional acting career in Australian television series.

He got his television debut in fantasy series Guinevere Jones (2002) in role as King Arthur. He landed his first big break with a role as Kimberly Jonathan "Kim" Hyde in Australian soap opera Home and Away (2004-2007).

He made his big screen debut in science fiction movie Star Trek (2009) in role as George Kirk. Hemsworth's breakthrough performance came as Thor in superhero movie Thor (2011).
