Steven Frederic Seagal was born in Lansing, Michigan, U.S., on April 10, 1952, is an American actor.
Young Steven Seagal started his martial arts training at the age of seven, under karate instructor Fumio Demura.
He began his aikido training under instructor Harry Ishisaka, in Orange County, California. He is an Aikido master - 7th Dan.
He got his big screen debut in action drama movie Above the Law (1988) in role as Det. Sgt. Nicolo "Nico" Toscani.
Steven's breakthrough performance came as Chief Casey Ryback in action thriller film Under Siege (1992) opposite Tommy Lee Jones.
He made his directorial debut with action adventure film On Deadly Ground (1994) also starred in role as Forrest Taft.
