American and Israeli citizenship. Major success came when she was cast as Padme
Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy ( released in 1999, 2002 and 2005 ). In
2011 she won the Academy Award, the Golden Globe Award, the Screen Actors
Guild Award, and the BAFTA Award for lead performance as Nina Sayers in Black
Swan. Was born in Jerusalem, Israel. Has been a vegetarian since the age of 8.
Was discovered in a pizza parlor and was originally turned down for the movies
role of Mathilda in Leon: The Professional (1994) because was too young. Is
