Melanie Richards Griffith was born in New York City, New York, United States, on August 9, 1957, is an American hot actress. Young Melanie Griffith made her big screen debut in western movie Smith! (1969) in uncredited role as Extra. Her first credited film role was as Delly Grastner in neo noir film Night Moves (1975) at the age of fourteen, opposite Gene Hackman. Her breakthrough performance came as Holly Body in movie Body Double (1984) directed by Brian De Palma, for which she won an National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Tess McGill in romantic comedy drama film Working Girl (1988) and she won a Golden Globe Award.
