Samuel L. Jackson was born in Washington, D.C., U.S. on December 21, 1948, is an American actor. Young Samuel L. Jackson began his acting career on the stage and in television films. He made his big screen debut in blaxploitation film Together for Days (1972) in role as Stan. Jackson's breakthrough role came as Jules Winnfield in drama crime movie Pulp Fiction (1994) directed by Quentin Tarantino, for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
